The Hands Behind it All
Hi! I'm so glad you made your way here! I'd love to introduce myself, my name is Nina. I have been a professional stylist for about five years, but I have been surrounded by it for as long as I can remember. Before entering the industry professionally, I grew up using my hands to create art on friends and family. The passion for it stemmed from watching my nonna perfect her craft behind the chair. I would watch her cut, color, and style these beautiful women. I knew the whole time that I too, wanted to put my hands to work.
In 2019, I attended Toni & Guy in Newtown, CT. I was a year into working at a very successful and reputable salon at the time assisting the stylists. Assisting is where I learned majority of what I know today. I would go on to opening to a new door a few months after the pandemic at another very successful salon where I was really encouraged to take up formal styling. Reluctantly, I did. After some time, I realized how much I love formal styling, how rewarding it was to be so focused and step back after all the pinning and observe how beautiful the art I created was. I continued to do brides along with their parties and discovered that it would become something I wanted to hone; something for me to master, perfect, and share with all the beautiful future brides!
In 2024, I created nasitra & co. I was determined to have a brand that didn't advertise ME, that didn't have my name all over it-a brand that represented what I do. That is, creating art. Nasitra is simply put, "artisan" backwards, and the co.? Well you can't always do everything on your own now can you? So while it's my hands bringing your vision to life, I have to acknowledge any and all who have made this brand possible with their support.
I look forward to being part of your very special day!
